It's possible to transfer money from a Venmo balance to an eligible bank account or debit card. The process involves a few simple steps within the Venmo app:

  1. Navigate to the "Me" tab by tapping your picture or initials.
  2. Tap 'Transfer' until 'Balance' section.
  3. Tap "Transfer to Bank."
  4. Enter the amount to transfer.
  5. Choose between an "Instant Transfer" (a fee may apply) or a "Standard Transfer" (typically no fee).
  6. Select the desired bank account or debit card and confirm the transfer.

The main differences between an Instant Transfer and a Standard Transfer are the speed of the transfer and the associated cost.

  • Instant Transfer: This option typically moves money to an eligible bank account or debit card within 30 minutes. This type of transfer incurs a fee, which is displayed before completing the transfer.
  • Standard Transfer: This option is free and the money typically arrives in a linked checking account within 1-3 business days.

Auto reloads lets you automatically add money to your balance when it dips below a threshold that you set. For example, you can set it up so Venmo automatically reloads your balance with $25 when your balance goes below $50.
